Sebilo is mindful of the impacts of mining on the environment and the company has policies and procedures in place – aligned to our regulatory approvals – to ensure both responsible environmental management of risks associated with mining, during the lifespan of our operations and their subsequent closure and rehabilitation.

Sebilo has made adequate provision with a reputable insurer that addresses our rehabilitation liability. Annual quantum reviews are undertaken as required by regulations and, through a backfill strategy, control is maintained over this liability.
