Corporate governance

Sebilo is committed to good corporate governance, and the Board promotes the highest standards of integrity. This includes a commitment to ensuring that all of its practices are ethically and efficiently carried out, and with transparency and accountability, to ensure the continued success of the company and to improve shareholder value.

Our assertion is that to grow the business and set a precedent while supporting other junior miners in developing greenfields operations, we need a strong governance structure and process in place. This has led to the formation of three board sub-committees:

  • People's committee – providing oversight for human resources, individual skills development, employee relations and our SLP obligations. It also looks at transformation, including ongoing effort to enhance our female representation (currently 4/8th of the top management are females)
  • Operations committee – providing oversight to all operational matters and ensuring performance measurement against a balanced scorecard for the business and employees
  • Audit and ethics committee – providing oversight to our policies and activities related to compliance
